COVID-19 Playbook

WELCOME TO THE

COVID-19 COMMUNITY RESPONSE PLAYBOOK CENTER

CREATED BY NEIGHBORHOODS FOR NEIGHBORHOODS

POWERED BY THE NEIGHBORHOOD EMPOWERMENT NETWORK AND CORO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

DEVELOPED IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE CCSF EOC COMMUNITY BRANCH

Building on the impressive work of San Francisco neighborhoods during the first few weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NEN has teamed up with Coro Northern California to memorialize effective strategies, systems and tools in a Playbook that residents can use to advance their safety and emergency response goals.

Background: Immediately after Mayor London Breed declared a State of Emergency, several neighborhoods already involved with the NEN’s community readiness system activated emergency response teams. Their goals:

  • Engage neighbors directly about adopting safe habits.
  • Increase awareness of available services and resources.
  • Create meaningful volunteer opportunities and safely contribute to the community’s pandemic response.
